9:31 am - 365 Days.
|
I thought it would be interesting to revisit my posts from one year ago today. Just to see how things have changed and how I have changed since then. In reading them, I can remember that I was genuinely terrified and sickened by that morning's events, and feeling of doubt and uncertainty were overwhelming me. I am no longer scared of threats from abroad, but more so suspicious of our own government. The words "It's for your own protection" just keep repeating in my head.

10:01 am - Another straw, and the camel gets weary.
|
The other guy's insurance company is taking the position that "without a witness, we dont know that you didnt hit the curb and smash into the 18 wheeler."
I am so furious right now I could scream. Her car will be done soon (if it isnt already) and bullshit insurance rediculousness is going to prevent her from getting it back right away, or at least getting it back without having to pay anything.
This is unnacceptable. Now she is going to the construction site near where the acciddent happened to see if anyone remembers seeing the truck hit her.
There are no limits as to how far insurance companies will go to fuck you.

8:48 pm - Stress
|
BOTH insurance companies are trying to fuck emily. We are considering going the lawsuit route again. I really wanted a simple resolution to all this mess. Too much to ask, i suppose.
Work is going well. I am aclimating. I am learning and fitting. I was happy with my first commission check. I hope to be equally as happy next month, if not more so.
Tonight is 1sT S4t0rd4y with emily, wes, and charlie. Hope to find cheap USB keyboards.
Emily's birthday is in about 2 and a half weeks. We were thinking bowling and lazer tag at main event. Any ideas? All are invited.

11:44 pm - Emily is amazing.
|
After 3 years she still leaves me searching for the words to describe how much I love her.
If you happen to be at "The Lion King" on 9/19/02, look waaaay in the back, waaaay up high and you just might spot two very happy people, very much in love.
THIS is what it is ALL about.

8:20 pm - "Hi, Fan. I'm The Shit and I am going to hit you now."
|
Today started out bad. Right after I get to work I get a call from Emily saying that she's been in a car wreck. Immediately I go into "calm, collected, scared-shitless" mode.
"Are you OK?" "Does he have insurance?" "Have you called the cops?" "Is he being an asshole?" "Are you sure you are OK?"
All the standard questions were asked. I was relieved that her safety and life were intact and that her car was the only thing damaged.
Bottom line: the car is probably junk and we are going to explore out legal options. Basically we are going to do our best to sue that pants off the trucker that hit her's insurance company. My mom, the legal secretary, will help with that.
We could be fucked and right up shit creek, but we could be fucked and right up large-settlement-creek.
Other bad news. AMLI wants like $550 for "damages and cleaning" from our old shitty apartment.
Point by point:
All carpet replaced: The carpet was fucked up. Mostly due to the fucking water heater from justin's apartment flooding our living room 3 times. There were some stains that were our fault, but no god damn $280 worth. Plus, they were supposed to replace the carpet before we moved in and they just forgot to.
Cleaning all bathrooms and kitchens: emily cleaned them to spotless perfection and I have a fuck load of digital pictures to prove it. BOOOYAAAHH, bitches!
Broken closet rod: ummm...there just wasnt a broken closet rod. How else can I put it?
Full Vacuum: My pictures show the vacuum marks on the carpet for the entire house. Once again, BOOOOYAAAAHHH!
PS: I sent them a letter in the envelope with out keys asking to be present for the final walk through. They never even called.
I'm going to write an extremely detailed letter explaining how they can fuck right the fuck off, and enclose a CD-R with all the pics.
They dont even know what they've gotten themselves into.
I also have to take care of this FedEx issue that's been hanging over my head for over a month. They over charged me and I refuse to pay them. One more nastey letter, comming up.
I would take care of the AMLI shit in person, but I work all week and Saturday. They are closed Sunday. I might go after work satruday, assuming that I drop off the letter and CD tomorrow.
Hey, AMLI. Oh, you didnt know? You better CALL SOMEBODY!
current mood: too much for one day.

8:11 am - Better, for the most part.
|
Me and emily spent all of yesterday sleeping, groaning, vommiting, and generally feeling like shit. I ended up in bed around 10:30 and slept straight through until this morning when I got up at 7:30. I think the extra rest really helped. I no longer feel queezy, or dizzy, or shizzy...my nizzle.
Now I have to go to work and play "catch up" for all the shit I couldnt do yesterday. I also have to try to not think about the money I lost by missing a day. I hope I dont get penalized in some way. Im pretty sure I have not accrued any sick days yet.
Oh yeah, Zephron Cockring was on TNG last night as some Prime Minister of some shitty planet. He should have played a Cardassian. That would have been neat.

7:45 am - Just waiting for it.
|
4:00am
I woke up after having gone to bed at 9:00pm. That alone should tell you someting was wrong. I felt nausiated and dizzy.
"Damnit! Fucking West Nile got me too! Sonofabitch."
I felt like it was going to happend any minute, so I breathed deeply, wet a wash cloth, and put a mat in front of the toilet so I wouldny be cold.
I expected it. I was anticipating getting it over with.
3 and a half hour later...nothing. Still felt like I was right on the cusp. I figured it was time to email my work with the sad news. Even though it hadnt happened yet, I knew it would be here eventually.
So I typed,
"M***, I will not be in to work today. I have been si... OH SHIT!" *RUN RUN RUN RUN* "BLEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAGGHHHHH!!!! oh god oh jesus of fuck oh BLEEEEEAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHH AAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH ugh ugh fucking shi-BLEEEAAAAAAAGGGGHHHH."
And so my little symphony went on until it was satisfied and my ribs were cracked. I finished the email, felt like a shithead for missing a day of work this soon into a new job, and sat down here to chronicle my affair. Now, back to bed with my baby, knowing that neither of us can make each other any more sick than we already are.

We're about to watch "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" with Wesley. Goerge Lucas is a rediculous asshole so its not available on DVD. I dont even like to be seen holding god damned bulky retarded VHS.
A lot of people have the misconception that VHS stands for "Very HomoSexual." It actually stands for "Very Homo Suck." It's true.

You could say that. I've got a knot in my neck the size of a peach and we dont have any cofee filters, so I cant make the morning brew.

9:14 pm - Motherfucking Ouch!
|
I have a ulcer inside my mouth on my lower lip. A little while ago I was eating a sammich and I bit down on that ulcer so hard that I heard an audible "crunch." If you had been in the room, you would have heard it too.
Now my lip is swolen up the size of a marble on one side and there are deep bite marks surrounding the ulcer. I put ice on it for a while, but it hurts like a bastard. I really hope it isnt like this by tomorrow when I go to my new job.
I'd post a picture if I could. Its almost as bad as the nugget Daniel just shared with us.

2:58 pm - Even Sooner.
|
I start work tomorrow. 9am. I asked why they needed me sooner and the guy said, "Just come in tomorrow." He sounded like I was in trouble. Its too early for that. THis should be interesting since I was going to use the weekend to fix my sleep schedule. I went to bed at 5am and got up about an hour ago. I have to be back asleep in 9 hours. Wack.
I went to Daniel's yesterday to do truck battery nonsense, and help him clean. In return he opened my eyes to the wonderment that is "Po' Melvin's Slap Yo Mamma Diner." Damn that was some tastey Soul Food. The weirdest part was that Po' Melvin was white as a sheet. But I'll be damned if the gravy on my potatos didnt taste just like my un-slapped mamma's. I had Po'k Chops and Daniel had Chicken Fried Steak. The green beans, the okra, the everything tasted like home. I WILL be going back, even though its a half hour away from here.
After our visit with Melvin we went over the see The Minkies(TM). Their new place is cool, but the layout is very confusing. Given the same floorplan I probably would have made the same unorthodox arrangement decisions as Br4d.
z03 was running around causing mayhem the whole time. She gets more and more mobile every time I see her and it terrifys me. She's also getting incredibly smart. It amazes me that a 1 year old can devise a plan to manipulate a grown up and pull it off so easily.
She would run up to me and then run away and pretend to be ignoring me (ever watching over her shoulder) until I started chasing her. Then she would scream with glee and run to the safety of M0m. It was hillarious. She also tried to peel my thumbnails off, and was dissapointed when they didnt budge.
Br4d and M0rg4n, as soon as you are ready we are willing to baby sit on date night. I want to spend more time with Z03 to get the experience of "The child is always here and always has to be occupied and its your responsibility to take care of her before you take care of yourself." Ya know, that type of stuff.
I woke up today with a killer spine ache. Not a back ache, but a spine ache that needs a chiropractor to fix. Im about to pop some 'profins and get in the tub before emily gets home.
